This song is almost a year old, so yes, I’m late to the party. Still, it’s never too late to feature a duet between two beloved gospel quartet singers: Melvin Williams of the Williams Brothers and Lee Williams of the Spiritual QCS.

“Another Blessing” has that shoulder-shaking beat characteristic of both quartet aggregations featured here. The back-and-forth vocalizing between Melvin and Lee at the conclusion is priceless. And when the subject is taking stock of one’s blessings and trumpeting thanks to God for all of them, it’s an ideal song with which to begin a new year.
