“Just That Good (The Albertina Walker Tribute)”

Caravan alumna Dorothy Norwood teams with Monica Lisa Stevenson and Bishop J.D. Means from Atlanta on a traditional-flavored tribute to the late Albertina Walker, whom the Storyteller refers to as “my best friend, my mentor.”

Rather than delivering a retrospective or weepy remembrance, Norwood and Company choose to deliver an optimistic song of thanksgiving for blessings received. To the fabled gospel “rocking chair” tempo, the group sings, “The worst is behind me now, and the best is yet to come.”

Dorothy Norwood will receive the Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legends Award during this year’s Stellar Awards weekend.
