“He’ll Make It Alright”
Mighty Golden Wonders
From the CD He’ll Make It Alright (album release date: May 19, 2024)

“He’ll Make It Alright” by the Mighty Golden Wonders of Warren, Ohio, is a delicious slice of retro, from the harmonies and simple accompaniment to the preachy vamp and lyrics full of the kind of church aphorisms that populate traditional gospel quartet songs.
The music runs a little extra at the end, as if the band is playing the quartet off the stage, which, in a way, is also part and parcel of the song’s retro charm.
Organized in 1977 by the late Arthur Smith, the Mighty Golden Wonders celebrate their 48th anniversary with a program at Nevels Temple COGIC in Youngstown, OH, next month.
