Katie Cloyd’s cover of Diane Warren’s composition “I’m Standing With You” sounds even more like a gospel song than when it was first sung by Chrissy Metz for the 2019 film Breakthrough. The single’s universal message of undying friendship, coupled with the I’ve-got-your-back manner in which Cloyd sings it, could easily make it a country crossover hit.
In addition to singing, Cloyd is a freelance writer whose work has been published in such periodicals as Martha Stewart Living.
