You can almost imagine Dawne dressed in her Sunday finest, walking the church aisles on a sweltering summer morning, microphone in hand and singing this song face-to-face with congregants while swinging with the strutting rhythm as the background vocals chime in as her assenting choir. Old schoolers will especially appreciate the blues-tinged gospel arrangement and Dawne’s gutsy delivery.
