In the church-wrecking tradition of the Caravans, veteran gospel singer Beverly Crawford shouts and squalls it up on “Made a Way,” a declaration to not worry because God is still on the throne. “I was young, but now I’m old,” Crawford sings, in her customary confidence. “I’ve never seen the righteous forsaken.”
While the single doesn’t have the high-octane propulsive rhythm of some of her finest singles, it is traditional through and through.
