Our prayers go to the legendary Delores Barrett Campbell of the world renowned Barrett Sisters who has been hospitalized for several weeks. The gospel music icon has been on bed rest since September and is about to enter rehab at Lincoln Park Hospital, 550 W. Webster. Campbell, who has been singing for over 65 years and began her career with the Roberta Martin Singers, is inviting all to her 80th birthday musical scheduled for March 12 at Trinity United Church of Christ where Dr. Jeremiah Wright is pastor. “The Queen of Gospel” Albertina Walker will be her special guest for the evening in addition to a very special surprise guest.
