David Jones informed the Journal of Gospel Music yesterday that Detroit gospel singer Ernis A. Hurskin has died.
Hurskin was one of gospel’s celebrated male soprano singers. He was a member and lead singer of several nationally-known aggregations, including the (James) Cleveland Singers, the Voices of Tabernacle, the Thomas Whitfield Singers, and Dr. E. LaQuint Weaver & the Hallelujah Singers.
