I’ve followed the career of St. Louis-based indie gospel artist Erica Reed since meeting her at the Gospel Music Workshop of America years ago.

Her new single, “Building – What Are You Waiting On,” exhibits the vocal and production skills she has developed over the nearly twenty years she has been in the gospel industry. Her delivery is deliberate and the ballad’s message, arrangement, and rhythmic swagger make it ideal for radio.

Produced with characteristic flair by Sanchez Harley, “Building” is Reed’s finest offering since 2011’s stellar ballad, “Never Let Go.”
