“Like This”
Jamie Simond
Gold Street Records
Jamie Simond began his professional career as a member of Walt Whitman’s famous Soul Children of Chicago and later served as a singer/songwriter for the Stellar-nominated male group Fortitude (aka NuWave). He penned their hit, “He’s Alright.”
“Like This” is Simond’s solo single, a song about making positive and lasting life changes. The Chicagoan sings as if he’s sharing a secret with a close friend, or lifting a humble prayer on the chilly wind of a foreboding night.
Cooler and more introspective than his work with Fortitude, “Like This” demonstrates the versatility of Simond’s soulful and feathery light tenor voice, like Jermaine Jackson in his prime. Quiet praise material.

I first heard you singing “Use Me” when I was about 13 myself. My choir director wanted me to sing it and it was the first song I sang that really touched my heart from the first time I heard it…I still sing it in my head to this day. You are an anointed man..keep praising the name of our Lord…looking foward to hearing more from you.
