“I’ll See Him”
Highway QCs feat. Spencer Taylor Jr.
Independent / DJJ Music Media (release date: August 10, 2023)

By Robert M. Marovich

Dedicated in loving memory of Spencer Bouvier Taylor III, who passed away this past spring, “I’ll See Him” is an affirmation by the Highway QCs that if they live right, if they ask the Lord for mercy, they’ll see Bouvier again in that great eternal morning.

The quartet delivers its message with a measured tempo and a hard-shouting lead vocal from Randy Walker. During the song’s vamp, Walker’s exhortations build in intensity as he depicts Heaven as the place where we can at last escape a litany of world problems.
