“I Made It” surfs atop an appropriately brisk tempo, because it’s about Sacramento’s Chris Fields breaking through the wall of suffering, trials and heartbreak. The singer called on Jesus “to take control,” and is so excited by the results, his energy nearly shatters the speaker: woofers, tweeters and all.
Fields, whose jazzy “My Joy” pairs him with Donneshia “DC” Clark, has a full-length album scheduled to drop this fall.
