“Overcomer”
Reggie Jones
Reign Music (release date: March 4, 2026)

By Robert M. Marovich

Inspired by Psalm 91, “Overcomer” by Ghanian gospel singer-songwriter Reggie Jones (born Regina Ansah) is an orchestral ode to endurance. Jones’s declarative voice, ideal for a song about being “more than a conqueror,” is balanced by a sweet-singing team of background vocalists. Though the song is sung in English and bears no little resemblance to CCM, there is a distinct African accent to it that distinguishes it from conventional CCM fare.

Reggie Jones is a gospel singer with an unmistakable authority and authenticity. “Overcomer” was produced and mastered by Oshogbo at the Musik Klinic in Ghana.
