“That’s What He’s Done” is the latest example of the buoyant and infectious Low Country sound as it’s done by South Carolina’s Jason Singleton & the Sound of Destiny Choir.
Using as their base the congregational classic “What He’s Done for Me,” Singleton and his choir gush with enthusiasm over God’s grace. They are not just worshipping; they are also modernizing the Gullah Geechee style for the new millennium. The presence of sacred steel in the midst of the singing is a delightful bonus.
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Jason Singleton is director of worship & arts and outreach minister at Destiny Worship Center in North Charleston.
